A total of 32 businesses were nominated this year for the Torch award, which is presented annually by the Better Business Bureau.

The three winners were announced on the campus of Hardin-Simmons University Monday.

Representatives from Funeral Directors Life Insurance Company, Mike Tschaar Heating and Air-Conditioning Company, and Stovall Realtors were all in attendance Monday to accept the coveted award.

"We are greatly honored to be able to recieve this award," says award recipient Steve Stovall. "I can't think of any greater honor than to be recognized for business ethics, and we are very humbled."

McMurry and Abilene Christian Universities also co-sponsored the event.
