Breakfast and hot beverages were served followed by a Christmas story time. Kids were then entertained by a magician and patiently waited for some face painting fun. Of course Santa was there taking pictures with children and spreading holiday joy. The event was open to the public and organizers hope the day was more than just fun.
"We think it's important that they know that Jesus is the reason for Christmas," explains Lesle Paxton. "And Santa is just a touch of the magic that goes along with that."
Children left happy and cheerful with a bag of goodies but also with a renewed meaning of the holiday.
