The Colorado City Wolves are surprising some folks with their current run in the postseason, but they are not surprised.

Some teams lean heavily on 1 or 2 players during the season to make their run at a state championship, but that is not the case for the Wolves.

Head coach Frank Johnson says htye have needed everyone to get it done.

"It's come from different kids all season. Someone's picked off a pass at the right time. Somebody comes up with a big hit or a play on special teams. Somebody has made big plays when it's needed. A lot of people look at  our size or look at us on film, and say they're not that good. Sometimes finding a way to win and being opportunistic is a nice way of saying 'they're luck and they keep winning," said head coach Frank D. Johnson.

The Wolves try to keep things rolling on Friday night against Sonora in San Angelo. That state quarterfinal game starts at 7.
