"Words cant really explain the feeling that I have right now."
"Just to come and make a difference and see a smile on their face makes a difference in our lives, and just giving back and it makes everything good for us."
In addition to saying and friendly "Hello" The guys brought gifts and signed Basketballs. For one McMurry player, Dominick Walker, this experience hits close to home.
"Me, ive been in this situation before when I was in the Hospital when I was a young kid. So a Basketball team came and saw me and really put a smile on my face. I know exactly how they feel when they saw us."
Now with the rolls reverse, he understand the impact he and his teammates are making on these kids.
"Kids look up to athletes. Where they see them on TV, or whether they see them not on TV, they look up to athletes. So its always good to see a smile on their face because they saw us and we took the time to go see them."
"If I was in their shoes, being sick, it's not fun. having people like this who play basketball come and visit me, that would mean a whole lot, and I really do think we made a difference to the kids."
It's a smiel and a memory like this that makes being in the Hospital over the holidays a little bit easier.
