The Pirates enter the week ranked 3rd in Class A Division II with a 21-4 record. Head coach Josh Fostel's team is just 2 years removed from a state championship, and look like they are on the verge of making that kind of run again this year.
"We've got a good group. They really work together and they put in a lot of time. We're not really blessed with an abundance of size, quickness, or speed. We've got a good solid group of kids that spend a lot of time in the gym. They play well together, and they enjoy the game," said head coach Josh Fostel.
"Just come to practice every day ready to work. Do our best work, and try to out work everybody else in the state," said Austin Bartlett.
"This year we really have a lot of senior leadership. Other than last year, we really didn't have a lot. We're doing our best to get in the top three, and repeat what the 2011 team did," said Ricky Stark.
The Eula boys and girls continue district play tomorrow night on the road. They are taking on the Lueders-Avoca Raiders and Lady Raiders.
