It was the longest standoff in Colorado City's history.

"We've never had a hostage situation quite like this before," said Mitchell Co. sheriff Patrick Toombs.

Ten hours later, three men were arrested for not only evading arrest, but also for attempted murder.

"You know it did take a long time, but the final end is that we got  people in jail and that no one was hurt," said Toombs.

Swat team members eventually caught the three men, at a place police believe may be a juke joint, but it's actually a place where somebody lives.

"This wasn't just a cafe, or juke joint, this was her home," said Maxine Goodman, whose sister lives in the home where the standoff took place.

So while no one was hurt during the standoff, you could say another thing about the home.

"We were born and raised here and they destroyed my home," said Myrtle McGee, who lives in the home and was there as police surrounded the area.

There's now a hole in the living room where a bomb was set off, a bench through the window, glass shards cover the ground.

It's a sight that McGee never imagined shed have to come home to.

"They made all of us leave, everybody went to bed and then they demolished my house like this," she said.

McGee knows Felicia Diaz and Brandon Emerson, the couple who brought the three suspects.

What she didn't know is that they were escaping from police.

"I didnt know these guys, i had never seen them before in my life," she said.

So while shes happy to be safe.

It's hard not to shed a few tears for the sight around her.

And while she'll be especially sure from now on to ask before letting anyone in, saying:

"You know I thought they were my friends, she should have told me that these guys were running from the law because they would have never come into my house."

The damage has already been done.

For now Myron McDonald and Christopher Johnson,  two of the suspects from Oklahoma City are being held at the Mitchell Co. jail, along with the two from Colorado City who helped them escape.

The third was a 16 year-old who has been taken to the juvenile facility in Taylor Co.
