Funeral Services Set for Highway 36 Accident Victims

A funeral service remembering his life will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Elliott-Hamil Funeral Home Chapel of Faith, 5701 Highway 277 South, Abilene, with Reverend Luke Back, Rector of the Episcopal Church of the Heavenly Rest officiating. The family will receive friends at a visitation 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Davis' obituary can be viewed here.

Lindsey Smith's funeral will be Thursday, Jan. 31, 11 a.m. at Oakwood Baptist Church, 2154 Loop 337 N, New Braunfels, Texas, followed by reception at church. Burial at 4 p.m. at Hill Country Memorial for family and close friends.

Davis and Smith were killed in a head-on collision on Highway 36 at Potosi Road Friday night. DPS troopers say Davis pulled out in front of a pickup in which Smith was a passenger. Five other people in Smith's truck, all ACU students, were injured.
