After weeks and months of waiting, four Cooper Cougars made it official Wednesday by signing on the dotted line, and for the most part. They're relieved it's finally done.

"It feels great. It feels like all the hard work you put in during the off season payed off," said Anthony Pierson.

"I've been anxious for about a couple weeks now," said Fred Lawrence.

Both Anthony Pierson and Fred Lawrence are on their way to Angelo State in Divison II, and both want to get right to work with the Rams.

"I just want to see if I can get a little bit faster, stronger. I want to see if I can get a little bit taller if I can," said Lawrence.

"As a receiver, they pass a lot, and they'll get me open a lot. I talked to the offensive coordinator and he said he loves my size, and they'll use me early and often," said Pierson.

One Reason Pierson and Lawrence chose Angelo State is because it's close to home and family.

"My brother is going there too. So, I've got family there already. It feels good," said Lawrence.

"I fit in well, and I get to play with my brother that's across the ball from me," said Pierson.

Cougars Kerry Sims and Michael Green are on their way to nearby Cisco College. The Now Former Cooper Running Back is also ready to get to work in Cisco.

"It's close to home, and they offered me to play ball there. So, it's pretty cool," said Kerry Sims.
