Two vehicles and two homes were damaged during a fire in North Abilene early Saturday morning.

The fire started in a carport in the 800 block of Nelson St. around 4 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators believe an issue with a pickup truck's engine is to blame, but an exact cause remains unknown.

When firefighters arrived, they found the attached house up in flames.

The fire then spread to the home next door, causing only minor exterior damage there.

A travel trailer in the backyard suffered extensive damage.

Luckily, everyone got out and nobody was hurt.

Fire investigators estimate more than $23,000 in damages.
