Teen Charged in Attempted Parking Lot Robbery

Investigators charged 19-year-old Kenneth Ray Polk with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and with using an invalid driver's license.
Police chased Polk for several blocks in north Abilene after a man in the McDonald's parking lot reported that the suspect pointed a gun at him and demanded money.
The victim gave police a good description of the mugger, and several officers converged in the area.
An officer noticed Polk running along the 3500 block of North 10 after hearing a gun shot.
Polk was finally captured near the YMCA.
