Golf Carts May Soon Be Legal on Streets of Cisco

By: BCH News Staff
Updated: February 27, 2013
Pretty soon, you'll see golf carts alongside pickup trucks on roads in Cisco.

At this week's city council meeting, councilors heard a motion to allow golf carts on city streets.

There are a few people in town who wanted to drive their golf carts on the roads.

The ordinance has to go through a second reading before it's officially adopted.

People would have a valid Texas driver's license and the golf cart must also be covered with liability insurance.

Gold cart drivers, like driving any motor vehicle, will also have to have a valid Texas driver's license.

However, golf carts will be limited, to some degree, on where they can be driven, though there were no details on exactly what these limitations may be as of yet.
