The Highland Lady Hornets have had the community and the school's support behind them ever since the start of the season. But when they beat Garden City in the Regionals this past weekend to earn their ticket to Austin that support only grew; like a poster that reads "Playoffs 2013" with signatures from everyone in the school saying "good luck," "have fun," and "we love you Big Blue."

"The support from the community has been overwhelming. From Friday and Saturday's games, the crowd, the student body, and just the pats on the back in the hallway and the cards and phone calls and letters. Like I said it's a little overwhelming." says Head Coach Shea Baucom.

"Everyone is really excited for us. They've made us a bunch of signs, and decorated the locker room. It's our first time for Highland, and we've never really played in something that big, and it's really exciting, and I'm nervous," adds Madison Moseley.

"Even though we are really small, there are tons of support and everyone is really excited for us because they've kind of known we've had to potential to do this all year. It's fun and it's intense too, and it's a good feeling to know that you are in the top four in the entire state." says Kaylee Martin.

Now a lot of that support that they've had here will follow them down to Austin. Their first game is against Saltillo Friday at 1:30.
