The Throckmorton Greyhounds' run in the boys basketball tournament came to an end Saturday afternoon at Moody Coliseum.

Their opponents, the Water Valley Wildcats, busted out of the gates with a flurry of three-pointers. Tanner Counts would cap off the run with a three-ponter to give the Wildcats an early 9-0 lead.

The Greyhounds would make an early rally. First with a bucket by Hayden Farquhar to get the Hounds on the board. Then Gary Farquhar would get a basket off a Wildcat turnover. That got Throckmorton within three points.

Then Water Valley started hitting shots from behind the arch again. In the end the Wildcats would run away with a 62-43 win on Saturday at Moody Coliseum.
