ACU Women Looking Forward To LSC Tournament

By: BCH Sports
Updated: March 4, 2013
The ACU Women Basketball team start the Lone Star Conference Tournament on Wednesday over in Allen.

The Wildcats claimed a share of the Conference Title on Saturday with a victory over Texas A&M-Kingsville at Moody Coliseum. The Wildcats finished tied with Midwestern State and they are the 2nd seed in the school's final appearance in the LSC's Postseason Tournament.

"It's been a really exciting season, and when the preseason poll came out we were picked 7th, that was a real motivational tool for us to try and prove that we were better than 7th. Our theme this year has been to 'Exceed Expectations' and I think our players have definitely done that." says Head Coach Julie Goodenough.

Julie Goodenough and her team take on Texas A&M-Commerce in the 1st round. That game is Wednesday at noon in Allen.
