SMAB Golf Tournament to Benefit Student Travel and Research

By: Dave Beyer, McMurry Sports Information
Updated: March 4, 2013
Want to play golf and help out a worthy cause?  McMurry University's Math and Science Advisory Board is looking for golfers to participate in the first annual Science and Math Best Ball Golf Scramble at noon Friday, March 22, at Shady Oaks Golf Course in Baird.  Proceeds from the tournament will be used to help students attend academic conferences as well as providing additional funds to support student research.

"We would like to make this an annual event because the departments always need additional support to help the students become more competitive in the world in which they will be seeking jobs," said tournament organizer Dr. Glenn Light.

Cost is $80 per person which includes lunch, green fees and prizes. For more information, please contact Glenn Light at glight@swri.edu.
