Local Organization Runs For A Cause On St. Patty's Day

It's a goal of Abilene Hope Haven to cure homelessness one person a time.
Since we last talked about the non-profit organization, they have held several events and benefited from KTAB's toy drive during the Christmas season.
Now, the efforts are getting stronger with an upcoming St. Patty's Day 8K Run. The Abilene Runner's Club decided that their yearly run will help benefit the organization's mission.
"This year, we were lucky enough to be the beneficiary," says Executive Director Alana Jeter. "We're excited."
Hundreds of applicants have already signed up, but they're still accepting some more. The weekend's event will help families gather together, break a sweat, and make a difference.
