TXDOT Launches Sober Driving Campaign

Updated: March 13, 2013
With spring break underway many are celebrating with alcohol and the statistics are alarming.
An alcohol related crash happens every 21 minutes and 32 seconds. Many of those accidents involved drivers whose blood alcohol content was less than the illegal .08 limit. With spring break in full effect, the Texas Department of Transportation is kicking off a sober driving campaign.
With various public events, the organization has also created a website that would allow a person to find a designated driver no matter where they are. TXDOT's Darah Waldrip shared the important reasons behind the campaign.
