Artwalk Focuses on Local Efforts to Make a Better Planet

It's that time of the month where downtown Abilene says hello to Artwalk.

Once a month, the Center for Contemporary Arts invites people to its themed event, and this Thursday's  event is about nature.

They're calling it "Trees, Please."

The West Texas Park sponsored this month's idea where they hope to inform others of keeping the environment healthy.

The group will be selling seedlings so you can plant them, and all the proceeds will help support the organization's mission.

They hope to fill parks more with trees that were lost during the drought.

The organization feels that keeping your neighborhood parks and gardens maintained will help the overall community.

You can attend Artwalk tonight until 8 p.m. right outside the Center for Contemporary Arts.
