The Cooper Cougars were unable to get the bats going Saturday afternoon against Amarillo Tascosa.

It also happened to be the day the Coogs honored the 1988 State Championship team at Cooper Cougar Field.

The Rebels though were in town to spoil the party. In the first inning Tucker Davidson got the game going for Tascosa with a stand-up triple. A short time later he would come home on a fielder's choice.

By the end of the first inning the Rebels would lead by the score of 2-0.

In the top of the second pitcher Jonathan Nicholson would start to settle in and end the inning with a strike out.

He would get the Cougars going at the plate in the second inning with a big base hit, but they were unable to bring him home.

By the end of the day only one Cougar would cross the plate, and the Rebels would pick up a 4-1 victory.
