Pudge Is Ready To Help His Old Team

The Texas Rangers continue to work toward the start of the 2013 season over in Arizona, and former catcher and future Hall of Famer Ivan Rodriquez is with the team this week to help the catchers.

Rodriquez signed on to be a special assistant and instructor for the team back in February, and the former Ranger is glad to back in baseball and with the Rangers.

Rodriquez said, "It's always nice to be back on the baseball field working with the kids and being around and see guys and coaches that I played with. It's time for me to come back to baseball, and so far, I am enjoying it. I'm going to be hear a week. I am going to do the best that I can and work with the catchers, so they can get better."

The Rangers continue Spring Training this week with 5 games against the Royals, Cubs, Angels, Rockies, and Reds.

The season starts on March 31st in Houston against the Astros.
