The game started off well for the Lady Cougars after pitcher Kelly Gillit snagged a Eliah Davila bunt with a diving catch.
A short time later though, Abilene High would get on the board after a ball got loose in the infield. Christy Rodriguez would beat the throw to the plate, but Kenzie Black would throwout a runner at third plate to hold Abilene High to one run.
Then in the second inning, Abilene High would strike again to take a 2-0 lead.
By the end of the game, the Eagle would put eight more runs on the board. At the same time they kept the Cougars from crossing the plate, and held on for a 10-0 victory.
