A very common Spring weather scenario is setting up Thursday. Moisture invades from the south, a dry line establishes to the west, a low pressure area moves southeast out of the Texas Panhandle. All these forces combine to produce a slight chance for thunderstorms late Thursday afternoon. Areas most likely to be impacted by storms would be Throckmorton, Breckenridge, Eastland and Albany. We can't rule out a storm or two elsewhere in the central Big Country, but the northeast has the best shot. After this rain chance, we're done until at least the middle of next week. Highs Thursday near 85 with a strong and gusty southwest wind 20 to 30mph. Highs Friday near 70, highs Saturday near 75. But a strong cold front will blow through the area early Saturday night, leading to much colder temperatures Sunday and Monday. Highs in the middle 50's, lows in the low to middle 30's Sunday and Monday.
