The Shackelford County Jail May Not be Over Budget

The Shackelford County jail may not have broken their construction budget for the new law enforcement center.
With top to bottom custom architecture and a 24 room capacity, the $5 million project opened it's doors on December 1. Now the jail even has enough room to house inmates from surrounding counties.
The Shackelford county judge told us they are currently going through the jail expenditures, line by line, to find out if they did in fact go over budget.
If so, Judge Montgomery says it will come out of the surplus general fund.
