Group Calling For Wind Farm Regulation

By: Chris Whited, KRBC news

A Texas based environmental group is calling for lawmakers to regulate future wind farm projects. "Public Citizen" is asking the upcoming legislative session to pass a bill calling for a three-stage process for all future wind farm construction projects.

The process would include Texas Parks and Wildlife to being involved in evaluating proposed sites, as well studies conducted on the visual effects of such wind farms and any impact on migratory birds. Texas currently has no regulations on where wind farms are construction.
