Updated: February 10, 2009
This week in Brownwood, artists from around the state have the opportunity to showcase their work at the 11th annual 2009 Stars of Texas Juried Art Exhibit.

The art is on display through Feb. 20 at the Depot Civic and Culture Center.

During the exhibit, on Feb. 14, there will be a paint-off competition, where artists will be given six hours to create a two-dimensional piece of art, after which a $500 winner will be selected.  The entry fee is $20.

The gallery is free and open to the public.
