APD: DWI Trifecta

On Wednesday, at about 9:45 P.M., Officer Valdez stopped a vehicle at N. 19th and Pine for a wide right turn. The driver, a 47 year old white male, was intoxicated. The suspect was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With An Open Container.
At about 11:00 P.M., Officer McPherson stopped a vehicle in the 700 block of Cockerell for failure to signal. The driver, a 48 year old black male, was intoxicated. The driver was also in possession of cocaine and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With An Open Container and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Finally, at about 11:30 P.M., Officer New stopped a vehicle in the 3200 block of N. 12th. The driver, a 25 year old white male, was intoxicated and was arrested for 3F Driving While Intoxicated. The suspect had 2 prior convictions for DWI.
DWI is the most preventable crime that a person can commit. Please, don't drink and drive.
