Marla Roth is a first grade teacher at Reagan Elementary School. She has been teaching for 14 years and she says she enjoys it very much.

She makes sure her students feel appreciated by not only her but by other students. Roth has her students encourage each other by cheering them on and after they get the right answer, they say they are proud of each other.

Her students say she is nice, sweet, and teaches them a lot.

Roth says there are many things that make teaching worth it and one of the the things is when the light bulb goes off in her students.

"It's seeing that light bulb come on when the child finally understand something and they realize they understand it and they get so excited about it," Roth said.

Roth's class looks like a jungle but her students are so well-behaved there is definitely no  "monkey business" going on in her class.

Congratulations to Marla Roth from Reagan Elementary School!
