When certain offenders on probation have trouble meeting their guidelines, they get labeled "high risk."

In the past, that meant a closer watch by a probation officer. But that can be tough. And when gas prices went up, new method was put into place which really helps the probation officers.

After hearing about this system, KRBC's Tim Johnston wanted to put it to the test to see what it was like. And they explained that he would get calls throughout the night.

So he went on. And sure enough the calls started coming, which was fine for him at first. But when it was late and he was asleep, it wasn't so fun.

And he couldn't even beat the system by having someone else say the numbers.

Fortunately for Tim, his time on the list was only for a day.
