Remembering Cecil Darby

 Cecil Darby taught at AISD for 13 years and was Assistant Band Director at Craig Middle School.

Darby passed away from what school officials confirm as Brain Cancer on Tuesday, February 3.

Darby directed many band concerts and also served as Band Director at Lincoln, before it closed.

His wife, Carol, is the Orchestra Director at Craig.

Services will be held for Mr. Darby at the Church of Heavenly Rest on Saturday, February 7, at 10:30 a.m.

Church of Heavenly Rest is located at 602 Meander Street.
