The 4th annual West Texas Sports and Fitness Expo is right around the corner.

The one day event will be held Saturday, February 21st from 9a.m. until 5p.m. at the Abilene Civic Center.

Along with a 3-point basketball shoot-out, families can take part in golf, tennis, soccer and hockey.

Jon Smith with Abilene Youth Sports Authority says this is a great way to get kids active.

"With childhood obesity on the rise we want to promote anything that gives people information," states Smith, "as well as activities, fun events to get involved in, and experience some physical activity, and where to get plugged in Abilene."

This year's main sponsor is Abilene Sport and Spine.

This is also your chance to meet the Ruff Riders.

The week of February 16th we'll be giving away a family four pack of tickets.
