KRBC teamed up with Big Country volunteer fire fighters all Wednesday for a relief drive to raise funds, so they can continue to serve Big Country communities. With countless people in the community giving generous donations, nearly $7000 was raised.

"In the recent fires," a volunteer said, "it was the volunteer fire departments that were out there on call, helping."

"We are involved in the community," the volunteer continued, "and we gotta make sure the fires are taken care of. Without our volunteer fire departments, [fires] wouldn't be taken care of."
