Abilene DUIs Hit 70 for 2009

 On Wednesday, at about 10:40 P.M., Officer Guitar stopped a vehicle for reckless driving in the 1300 block of Jeanette. The driver, a 49 year old white male, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. He provided a breath specimen that was almost double the legal limit.

Later, at about 11:40 P.M., Officer Holmes contacted the driver of a vehicle that ran off of the road in the 900 block of South 27th. The driver, a 20 year old white female, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With An Open Container.

Since January 1st, 2009, seventy (70) cases of DWI have been investigated in Abilene. Please, dont drink and drive.
