Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott wants tougher laws to prevent sexual predators from surfing the Internet for victims. New information reveals 90,000 offenders have been removed from the MySpace networking site. Abbott seeks legislation that would require registered sex offenders to reveal e-mail and cell phone numbers to authorities.
Other laws would prohibit their use of the Internet.
Abbott realizes the online facility is an easy tool for sexual predators.
More than 100 people have been apprehended in Texas during the past four years for using the Internet to prey on children.
