Alan and Karen Mooney, along with their six sons have a unique ministry.  At their small ranch near Ovalo, they take abused horses and nurse them back to health.

They seen their work with the animals as an opportunity to not only help the horses, but teach their sons life lessons in nurturing and responsibility.

It costs them about $150-200 per animal per month, just for feed to the horses.  The Mooneys absorb most of the expense themselves, but are hopeful others will help them with their ministry.

After the horses are healthy, they are eligible for adoption.

The Mooneys web site has more information on their operation.
