Looking to save a little money on your energy bills can be a simple as logging onto Google. "Google Power Meter" is a new software tool that will help consumers track their home energy usage and thereby make changes to lower costs.

The software is currently in the testing phase by company employees with hopes to make it available to all consumers in the next few months. The software is part of an effort by Google to invest millions of dollars into "green" technologies and renewable energy.
