A Big Country man has developed a unique method of training horses built around trust, love, and understanding. Alan Mooney lives in Ovalo, and believes that it is important to develop a partnership with your horse, rather than demand behavior from the animal. His program is called Horsebusters.Alan does not use spurs or whips in training horses, but spends a lot of time bonding with the horses. He tries to develop horses that are "centered" and in control of their emotions at all times.
Much of his training involves non-verbal communication between the trainer and the horse. By the use of mutual body language, Mooney feels the partnership between horse and human can be strengthened.
