No it's not a bird or a plane, so what is falling from the skies in Texas?

During a marathon in Austin today, a videographer shot footage of a fireball-looking object falling from the sky.

The Federal Aviation Administration says the object may be debris from two satellites, an American and Russian satellite that crashed in space a few days ago.

NASA says the collision of the US and Russian satellites is the first such crash in space.

Scientists are still looking into what happened. The FAA has instructed law enforcement agencies to secure the pieces.

Officers with the military will then collect the debris and analyze it in order to determine what it is.According to the Chief of Russia's Mission Control, clouds of debris from the satellite collision will circle earth for thousands of years and threaten other satellites.
