APD: Chronic DWI Problem

 Over the weekend, Officer Peavy responded to a vehicle accident call on North Loop 322. Officer Peavy contacted one of the drivers, a 48 year old white female. This subject was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated With An Accident. The suspect later provided a breath sample that was over three times the legal limit.

Officer Wilson stopped a vehicle in the 800 block of Oak for striking a curb and also failing to use a turn signal. The driver, a 40 year old hispanic female, was intoxicated and was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated.

The Abilene Police Department is accepting applications, through March 4th, 2009 for the position of police officer.
