Celebrity Quail Hunt

Updated: February 16, 2009
According to organizers, this year's celebrity quail hunt might have raised more money than ever.

Disability Resources Incorporated hosted the 20th annual Celebrity Quail Hunt over the weekend.

Land owners donated land, guides donated their time, and west Texans shelled out money to hunt with famous football players, television stars and war heroes.

After two days of hunting, everyone celebrated with a dinner and silent auction full of autographed items; some made by the celebrities.

While final numbers won't be in for several days, the live auction brought in more than $100,000, which is more than in any previous year.

A live auction on Thursday night brought in $25,000, which is also more than in years past.
