Women "Go Red" For Their Heart

By: Maria Oliver
Updated: February 16, 2009
Heart disease is the main killer in women over any other disease, and this Wednesday Abilene Regional Medical Center is hosting its *Go Red* women luncheon at the Civic Center.

The luncheon includes screenings starting at 10 am and lunch at 11:30, along with inspirational speaker, Sally Baskey.

Baskey uses a combination of motivational speaking and humor to educate listeners on how to utilize humor in both work situations and everyday life.

Circle of Red Women will also be introduced.

Tickets are still available at $25 a piece by calling 325-627-0074.

This event is held to raise awareness and money for research and education.
