She cheers her students on and this Cheerleading coach and teacher says she not only teaches each day but also learns.

"Everyone of these students has a story,  and something that is going on at home, so I try my very best to be the most positive thing in their life. If there is nothing else positive in their lives, when they come in my class they have a safe environment and they feel good about themselves in here," said Stevanie Jackson.

Ms. Jackson doesn't give up on her students, she is hands on with her work, and makes sure every student understands the work.

"We do lots of hands on projects. Anytime I teach a lesson and I don't feel they've learned it, we'll try to do it a different way where it's hands on or more creative," said Jackson.

Her students say they enjoy her class because it's easier.. and easier because of the way she teaches it.

"She teaches us about the other countries and she explains it better in detail than most other teachers probably would," said freshman student Derrick Randle.

Ms. Jackson says nothing can compare to seeing her students grow.
"Just interacting with the students, I love the opportunity to see them grow and see them change and learn and be successful."

Ms. Jackson isn't stopping anytime soon! She recently  got her masters and would like to continue to teach and move up in the education field.

Congratulations to Stevanie Jackson!
