APD: Brother Attacks Sister

On Tuesday, at about 7:00 P.M., Officer Poynor was dispatched to a noise violation call in the 3300 block of Sherry Lane. Officer Poynor contacted a 21 year old white male in reference to the call. During the investigation, this subject was found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested.
Later, at about 1:40 this morning, Officer Burns was dispatched to a disturbance in progress in the 700 block of Ross. Officer Burns contacted a 38 year old hispanic male who allegedly struck his sister numerous times during an argument. The victim had several red marks on her back. The suspect was arrested for Assault/Family Violence and the investigation continues.
