Updated: February 25, 2009
The Texas Oklahoma Research Undergraduate Symposium (TORUS) will be held for the First time in the state of Texas this year at Abilene Christian University.

TORUS gives undergrads from both Texas and Oklahoma a chance to display and build the students' mathematical skills, as well as promote research in the field of mathematics.

Students will have the chance to give 15 to 20 minute speeches on a variety of mathematical topics.

Torus is also a networking opportunity for students who will have the chance to meet mathematicians from both states.

Graduates from ACU, A&M, Baylor, Southeastern Oklahoma State, and Cameron University will give presentations as well as panel discussions.

The goal is to help undergrads advance in their studies, as well as find careers which will utilize their unique skills.
