The View Fire Department receives a brand new brush truck just in time to fight a large fire in Callahan County. For two years, the volunteer Fire Department in View has been trying to get a new brush truck.
They tried for grants to fun the vehicle, but couldn't make it happen.
Instead, they bought their first ever brush truck on their own; taking out a loan with the First Financial Bank.
The brush truck cost $78,000 and comes fully loaded and is able to hold 500 gallons of water at a time.
The View Fire Department is excited to have this new addition that will better be able to fight fires throughout the Big Country.
