Many ranches and hundreds of acres of land full of cedar trees were in the path of the fire this Thursday.

While most people may have an idea of what they would do during a disaster, some others may actually have a plan.

KRBC's Tyler Edwards was out there talking with many eye witnesses who got up close and personal with the fire, and many of the witnesses said described how large the blaze was or how intense the heat was coming of the fire.

One person in particular, a rancher by the name of Dale Rankin said he knew the fire was coming before it even started.

"It's bizarre, I had a dream last night that a fire was going to come to our place, and I thought what am I going to do if a fire comes," Rankin stated, "and I went through this series in my mind of things that I would have to do to protect our livestock mainly."

Rankin said he planned on getting all of his livestock in a riding arena as quickly as possible.
