APD: Booze and Family Violence

On Thursday, at about 5:18 P.M., Officer Herd was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 2000 block of Sycamore. Officer Herd contacted a 25 year old hispanic male who had allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face during an argument. The victim had a red mark on the side of her mouth and also said she felt pain. The suspect was arrested for Assault/Family Violence and the investigation continues.
Later, at about 6:15 P.M., Officer Bailey was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 200 block of Clinton. Officer Bailey contacted a 50 year old white male who was intoxicated to the point he had urinated on himself. The subject was arrested for Public Intoxication.
