Names Narrowed for Skunk Mascot

 Students across Abilene were given the task of coming up with names for Keep Abilene Beautiful's new skunk mascot (pictured with KRBC reporter Brittany Pelletz).

Each elementary school was invited to submit a name and an explanation for the name, if necessary.

The winning name will be announced this month, and the school not only gets bragging rights, but a $1,000 prize.

Austin Elementary: Breezy (Keeping Abilene beautiful is easy with Breezy) or Clementine (The skunk that makes Abilene shine)
Bassetti Elementary: Kacy (Keep Abilene Clean, Y'all)
Bonham Elementary: Oreo
Bowie Elementary: Aromella (Aroma + Bella)
College Heights Elementary: Unk (Unk the skumk says clean up your junk)
Dyess Elementary: Pepe ReNew
Houston SAC Elementary: Abbi-Lene
Lee Elementary: Sir Stink-a-lot
Long Elementary: Funky Skunky
Ortiz Elementary: Kip (Keep It Pretty)
Reagan Elementary: Aileen (Aileen is a skunk from Abilene/She does what she can to keep our city clean/Let's join in and work as a team/To keep trash out of Abilene!)
Thomas Elementary: Sparkle (Keeping Abilene beautiful and sparkling clean!)
Clack Middle School: Reeco
