Baby Seriously Injured in Crash

A late-morning car crash sends five people to the hospital, including an infant whose fighting for her life.

Police say the driver of a green Suzuki SUV was going west in the eastbound lanes of North 10th street near Richland Drive. An eastbound Chevy Blazer couldn't get out of the way, resulting in a head-on collision.

A two-year-old girl was strapped into a car seat in the back seat of the Suzuki, but it appears the seat wasn't properly secured, resulting in severe injuries.

The girl was airlifted to Cook Children's Hospital in Fort Worth.  Her condition was not known as of 4:45 p.m.
