Fans of the outdoors in the Big Country will now have more chances to hunt. A proposed change in six counties in the area will allow deer hunters the chance to bag more white-tailed deer.
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department says hunters and land owners will see immediate benefits from the change.
Current rules include a one buck and two doe limit. The new rules will increase the season bag limit to five deer.
The proposed changes will affect Taylor, Callahan, Jones, Knox, Shackelford, and Throckmorton counties.
