APD: Brother Punches Sister

 On Tuesday, at about 11:45 P.M., Officer Gates stopped a vehicle leaving the scene of a fight in the 2300 block of Green. Officer Gates contacted a 27 year old hispanic male in the vehicle who was part of the disturbance. This subject was intoxicated and was also found to be in possession of marijuana and was arrested for both offenses.

Later, at about 1:25 this morning, Officer Perez was dispatched to a disturbance call in the 1700 block of Jefferies. According to the victim, her brother, a 19 year old hispanic male, had punched her in the eye during an argument. The suspect was arrested for Assault/Family Violence and the investigation continues.

On Saturday, March 21st, there will be a clay shoot to benefit phase one of the Safety City building project. This event will be held at Abilene Clay Sports, 1102 Beltway South. If you would like to participate, contact 676-6096 or go to www.abilenepolice.org.
